* Registration has begun! There are two options for camp registration this year. You can either fill out the pre-registration information found on the camp brochure or you can go online and do most of the hard work in your own time. If you would like to receive the brochure to take part in option 1 send an e-mail to April Henderson, Camp Director, at aphenderson@diabetes.org with the following info:
* Your name
* Your child’s name, birthdate, type of diabetes
* Your home/mailing address
* Your home phone number
* How you heard about Camp Colorado
For online registration simply click on the link below and follow the 3-part directions. That’s it! www.diabetes.org/adacampcolorado. All online registrants must download the “Supplemental Forms for Camper with Diabetes”. Each of these forms require a signature and therefore must be downloaded, printed and filled out, signed and sent to the American Diabetes Association office located at 2480 W. 26th Ave., Suite 120B, Denver, CO 80211

Volunteer Updates!
Want to come to camp next year to volunteer as a Diabetes Counselor? Camp is a fun and rewarding experience for campers and volunteers as well. What’s it like? Imagine being the parent of a child with diabetes and that’s a good place to start! Camper safety is priority #1. We need your help to ensure that our campers are well cared for so they can come to camp and do what kids do - have fun! Working with a team of Senior Medical Staff, you will check blood sugars and ketones, correct hypoglycemic episodes, monitor and record carb counts and other basic diabetes management skills.
This may be one of the most challenging things you will do all summer but the end result is well worth the effort. If you have any questions, email April Henderson, ADA Camp Colorado Camp Director, at aphenderson@diabetes.org for more information!
